I think most of the $4.3 billion was spent on the flashy slot machines in the casino and the restaurants. The experience was at best underwhelming.Īnd a $400 deposit? I'm not a rock star, I don't break things. I was there for two nights but housekeeping never showed up in my room while I was gone between 8 in the morning to 8 in the evening. I saw all the equipment, it's gigantic, and if you're a fitness buff, you'll like this! However, the gym was fantastic and out of this world. Since Hilton generally caters to business people, I expected a desk in the room but there wasn't. So if you ever stay there, be sure to be on the other side of Conrad, the further away from Hilton, the better. Seems to be a common occurrence based on the reviews I had read beforehand.Īlthough my room had the city view, I needed to close the drapes at nights because the whole Hilton next to my building was a gigantic flashy animated billboard which lit up my room at nights. My first room key did not work so another trip back down was necessary. It was already in operation for six months and I'd have expected all kinks to be ironed out by then. Conrad may be brand new at a cost of $4.3 billion, making it the most expensive, but I would give it 3 out of 5 stars mainly due to the hiccups and a few things that were not well thought out.
